Awards For Jennifer L. Jordan - lesbian author - lesbian writer
2008 Alice B Reader’s Appreciation Award I might go on to win other awards in what I hope will be a long career of writing quality lesbian fiction, but none will mean more to me than the one I received in January 2008, the Alice B Reader’s Appreciation Award.
The award is presented to “writers of lesbian fiction who have careers distinguished by consistently well-written stories about lesbians.” It’s granted for a “body of work,” to writers who “can be counted on to give a good read each and every time" and who are "all-time, all-star" lesbian writers.
The award means a lot to me not only because it credited me for the writing I’ve completed and published, but also because it inspires me to keep writing more lesbian stories.
Lambda Literary Awards The Lambda Literary Awards celebrate the best in lesbian books, lesbian fiction, lesbian literature, lesbian mysteries, lesbian stories, lesbian authors, lesbian writers, lesbian romance, lesbian poetry, lesbian studies… well, you get the idea.
In 2007, Selective Memory, the sixth book in the Kristin Ashe mystery series, was selected as a finalist in the lesbian mystery category. Commitment To Die, the third book in the Kristin Ashe mystery series, was also a lesbian mystery finalist in 2004.
